For a $5.00 entry fee you can place your apple pie in our Fall Festival Apple Pie Contest where it will be judged and eaten by parishioners. The winner will receive a prize and bragging rights!
Our annual Blessing of Animals will take place this Sunday, October 7 at 1:00 pm in front of the church. This is one of our parish traditions where we gather to praise God for the gift of creation, especially our loyal and faithful pets. In case of rain, the Blessing will take place on Sunday, October 14. All pets are welcome ~ dogs, bunnies, cats, goldfish … We look forward to seeing you!
We will be making pierogi on Wednesday, October 10 & Thursday, October 11 ~ Starting at 8 am

The parish will conduct training sessions entitled Protecting God's Children for all volunteers who have contact with children while participating in parish events or activities.The training will take place on Saturday, October 13 at 9:00 am and Thursday, October 18 at 9:00 am and 6:00 pm. Attendance at ONE of these sessions is required if you haven't yet attended or completed the training on-line. The training sessions take 2 to 3 hours. The training is for ALL Tag Sale and Fall Festival volunteers, Eucharistic Ministers, choir members, and religious ed teachers. Any parishioner who is troubled by the recent news about clergy abuse and the Church's response to it is also welcome to attend. The training is very informative and provides useful information as well as a place to comfortably and safely discuss this issue. The bus will leave Mater Dolorosa School parking lot at 9:30 am and return from the casino at 6:30 pm.
The cost is $30.00 and will include $20.00 for the wheels and a $15.00 food voucher.
